I am what many would call a watch nut and own over 30 ranging from Timex to Rolex. For me to buy a watch there has to be "something there" for me to get excited about. At $240, this is one of the very best buys on a fantastic watch that you can find! I was so impressed with this watch I purchased a second one as a gift for my father in law who by the way, was very impressed with the watch himself.

Before getting into all the things I like about this watch I want to point out one of the other reviewers posted a problem with the buckle on his watch having some "points" on it that dug into his wrist and made the watch uncomfortable to wear. This must be a factory defect as this is not the case with either of the two that I purchased. While the watch strap is not usually covered by warranty I know from 1st hand experience that Citizen has a dedicated and friendly customer service department and I believe if he contacts them he will find a new strap coming to him rather quickly. Also as to the strap, I have been disappointed somewhat in the past when purchasing a watch and the strap that comes with it is not substantial in length. I have a 7.25 inch wrist and this has not caused me a problem but I would readily notice if someone had a larger wrist they would have to go out and purchase a new and larger strap to be able to wear their new watch. The strap that comes with this citizen will allow someone with a larger wrist than mine to be able to wear this watch with the strap that comes on it. This is very good as I believe the supplied strap is very handsome on this watch.

I bought this watch a couple of months ago and personally love it ! I went through a Tag Grand Carrera that went back to the store after 3 days, then an Omega Planet Ocean but settled on this watch. While it is expensive as most Rolex watches, it is worth every penny! The branding on the inner bezel is hardly noticeable and does not take away from the watch at all. The is actually not that bad in size either. I prefer a larger watch (Omega sea Master was 45 mm) This watch is 44 mm but stands out a bit farther from the wrist than the other 41 mm watches from Rolex... But i prefer the larger/heavier watches. As for durability; This thing is rock solid and feels solid as well. My Omega had scratches on the anti reflective coating on the crystal in 1 month after purchase ! The band on the Omega was scratched really bad as well (called Omega, they really didn't care and didn't stand behind their watch!). It looked old after a short period of time, which is why i returned it. This Rolex still looks brand new !

The picture used here really shows a stunning watch, but I had no idea just how gorgeous it would be until I saw it in person. It's truly stunning.

The rose gold is a little lighter than copper, but accentuates red and other autumn colours quite well. The black of the ion coating is matte on the flat side (almost a matte black brushed steel look to it) and glossy on the edges.

This is the perfect watch for those who want a striking look to accompany their business casual autumn colours, or for those with darker skin than mine to wear with other colours (pale-skinned people, take note -- if there's a good bit of blue in your skin, this may look a little odd). However, the black surrounding all of it helps to tone down any clashes it may have, and it's guaranteed to look stylish with a variety of clothing choices.

As for functionality, it's basic. Time, day, date, and seconds. The hour and minute hand are 'luminescent' (glow in the dark), so you should be able to see them in the dark for a while. I've several Fossil watches, and like all the others, the 11 year warranty is outstanding, and the watch mechanics are in prime condition. You won't be disappointed.
